Gmail is a free webmail, POP3, IMAP service provided by google. As of July 2009, it has 146 million users monthly. Initially google mail offerred 1GB storage which was increased gradually and at present google mail offers 7350MB of storage space with additional space available at a minimum cost. Google mail has the following advantages when compared to other mailing services

1. Easy to use and attractive user interface
2. Availability of a mobile version which allows users to stay connected even when they are away from their computer
3. Gtalk can be used from google mail inbox
